Upload timeout?

I maintain a website with FP 2000 and am currently trying to upload a 2 MB
pdf file and seem to be timing out before the upload is complete. Normally
I connect to the internet through a cable connection but during the summer
months I connect through a dial-up connection at 24 k which makes an upload
of this size take a lot of time.

During the "Processing web updates" phase I get the following popup error:
"Could not find a web server at "www............" on port 80. Please check
to make sure that the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are
set correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server
may be temporarily out of service."

Can someone help me with this problem? The web server name and proxy
settings are fine. This problem is only happening with this large file.
Smaller uploads work fine.

Thanks.

Bob L

You will need a faster connection or you can try to upload the file with a 3rd Party FTP
application, as there are no setting in FP that would have any impact on this behavior.

Thanks Tom. The ISP's support suggested I use program they offer but I
haven't been able to figure it out yet. Do you know of any public domain
programs that might work?

Any FTP application should work, such as CuteFTP, WS_FTP, etc.
