Port 21 upload to internet error

I have FrontPage 2003 and use XP. My server is att.worldnet. They do not
support FrontPage so I cannot ask them for support. I am using dialup
connection.

I have a website that I previously uploaded to att.worldnet just fine.
Later, when I updated the file on FrontPage and tried to upload it to the
website, I received the following error:

“Could not find a web server at “upload.att.net†on port 21. Please check
to make sure the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set
correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server may be
temporarily out of service.â€

I tried to reload using upload.att.worldnet.net but received the same error
message. I called att and they said the web server is not down. When I
initially prepared for the upload, I input my user name (the name to the left
of the @ sign) and the password I use for that user name.

What might I be doing wrong? I really need to get this up and running and
am very frustrated.

Thank you!
Kathy

Port 21 is an FTP server not a web server. Since ATT doesn't support
FrontPage then you must use FTP when you publish right? Ask them if there's
a problem with their FTP Server. You can also get a third party FTP program
(like WS_FTP) and upload your pages that way.

| Thank you. So, are there FTP servers that are free downloads?
