upload and publish

I have a web page uploaded to server. I don't know how to link images to the folder on server to front page. it picks up the location on my desktop.
 
You must import the images into your site before using them on your pages.
Read HELP about importing.

Assuming you created a Web on your local machine first.
Import your images from your harddrive folder into your Frontpage web (usually into your images folder there)
Then insert them into your design from your FP images folder.
Save. (sometimes you should Recalculate Hyperlinks too)
Then File/Publish to your host server.

Did you open the web? FP cannot resolve changes if you only open a page for edit.
 
After you create your web and open a new page, if you save the new page
first then edit / add the links will be relative / correct. The keyword is
save.
