Upgrading

I'm working on a test network but it's really getting
crunch time to upgrade our nt domain. I've upgraded the
PDC but am unable to add another DC to my testdomain,
tells me specified domain either does not exist or could
not be contacted. I know it's got to be something simple
in my dns but so far an unable to figure it out.

Did you try to do an NSLOOKUP to it ??

it tells me can't find name: non-existant domain.
dns is set up and seems to be working, at least i can ping
by name

I run nslookup it shows the correct default server and the
correct address
