upgrading vista

i have windows vista basic, will i loose my things on my computer if i
upgrade to vista premium

In theory, no. However it is always foolish to not back up before doing
a major change to an operating system.

It sould give you the upgrade option to save them but it is always good
practice to back up your important files first.
