trying to upgrade from Vista Premium to Vista Ultimate

I've got a Dell that came with Windows Vista Home Premium already installed.
It's been upgraded to Service Pack 2. Things work fine...but Premium doesn't
let me log into the machine via remote desktop.

I've got a few copies of Windows Vista Ultimate unopened. I'd like to
upgrade my machine to Ultimate so i can get the Remote Desktop working. I
tried the following and neither worked:

1) I slapped the disk from the Ultimate package into my machine and ended up
at a point where the software said it couldn't do the upgrade...it would only
do a fresh installation. Yuk.

2) I tried the "Upgrade Windows Vista" (aka the Windows Anytime
Upgrade)...but all it gives me is the option to compare editions of Windows
Vista. When I follow that link, it takes me to a page where I can buy
versions of Vista...but obviously I don't want to buy a copy of Ultimate
since I already have one.

Help!
