I NEED A DEFINATE ANSWER FOR THIS ONE.. lol

ok so i just bought a vista capable PC in november.. It says i can get home
premium - If i upgrade will i loose anything? Because I design websites and
if i loose Microsoft FrontPage (i bought a one license disk, so i can only
install once..) I need Frontpage2003 a lot!!! if i loose that im screwed.. SO
i have media center 2005, if i upgrade to vista will i loose any documents on
my laptop

you can install more than once. one license means one computer.

Buying one license doesn't mean that you can only install FrontPage once, it
means you can only have it installed on one PC at a time. The possibility is
always there that the upgrade will fail and your system will end up non
bootable.

i know that.. but i have like 3 computers and my cousin used it twice.. i

You can install you FrontPage 2003 on the new computer if you uninstall it
off the old one. If enough time has passed (say 6 months), I think you can
activate FrontPage on the new computer. If it doesn't activate, call
Microsoft, tell them you have removed FrontPage off your old computer and
installed it on your new computer, and if you are only running one copy,
they will allow activation.

No worries. Now another question. Have you made backups of all your data
just in case?

Upgrading won't cause you to loose documents.

Of course, you should always have a backup of anything that if you lost it,
you would be screwed. I guess your life would be an unfortunate exception.

Yes it will. And I mean if the upgrade fails, which can happen, your PC may
not boot any more.
Your FrontPage likens allows you (and you only) to install it on 1 desktop
and 1 laptop, giving it to someone else is a violation of the EULA

Yes you can do an in place upgrade from MCE to VHP. See the link below.
But be prepared. Image the system before doing the upgrade in case
something goes wrong.

Make an image backup before beginning the upgrade to ensure that you do not
have issues and have to revert or in case the upgrade fails (very unlikely).
