Upgrading to XP Pro from XP Home

I need to connect to my intranet at work from home.
Problem - my home pc is running Windows XP Home Edition
and isn't willing to let me set up a network account or
VPN with my corporate server. Do I have an option for
upgrading to the XP Pro other than the full price
upgrade, as if I were upgrading from 98? Is there not an
alternate pricing structure for such an upgrade?

I would call several resellers and ask them how much it
will cost...

Are you sure you actually need Pro. Home can't join the domain but I would
think it could VPN fine.
