Upgrading from XP Home to XP Pro

We have a new employee that wants to be able to use his
personal computer that currently has XP Home edition
installed, however since we use a domain at my work is
there any work-arounds to get a computer running the Home
edition onto a domain or is our only option to upgrade him
to Win XP Pro?

Also, is there any known issues with upgrading from XP
Home to Pro?

Thank you,
Tom

XP HE cannot join a domain. It can access individual resources
of the domain, but that is a PITA. Pay the $ and upgrade to PRO.

The upgrade should be easy, and should not disturb any files
or installed apps. But, to be safe, I advise backing up the PC
before doing the upgrade.
