Upgrading from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate

Greetings

I must admit I have been quite confused about my options on upgrading from
my Windows XP Pro to Vista Ultimate. A few months ago, I bought XP Pro retail
as I was assured that I could buy an upgrade version to Vista Ultimate retail.

Now I recently read in a Software Magazine that this upgrade will not be
possible. The MS Vista GetReady website tells me this is very much possible,
and of course I trust that over some magazine. But I am confused about my
options on this still.

Will I need to buy a new Vista Ultimate retail box, or can I in fact get an
upgrade to Ultimate retail? Would be nice to know for sure.

Thanks and best regards

Hi,

An upgrade version is all you will need. As you have WinXP Pro, the upgrade
must be Business or Ultimate, not Home Basic or Home Premium. Perhaps this
will clear up some of the confusion?
