upgrading from home to xp pro

is it possible to buy an upgrade from xp home to xp pro,
or can I do an upgrade another way with a retail or an
oem xp pro disk?

1. Purchase a conventional "retail upgrade version" of XP Pro.
2. Disable or uninstall your antivirus program.
3. While at the XP Home desktop, put the XP Pro CD in the CD drive.
4. When the setup menu appears, select the default "Upgrade" option.
5. The upgrade to XP Pro will commence.

Note: Do not use an OEM version of XP Pro....it will not perform an upgrade.
