Upgrading from Home to Pro

Hello,

is it possible to upgrade from WinXP Home to WinXP Professional? I found out
that taking the Home Edition made networking too easy to be secure and don't
want to buy another retail version.
Is it also possible to upgrade using an OEM CD?

It should be possible to upgrade using the Windows XP Pro
Upgrade CD. An OEM CD is tied to one particular computer,
and you cannot use it to install Windows XP on another
computer.

Greetings --

To upgrade from WinXP Home to WinXP Pro, purchase and install the
WinXP Pro Upgrade CD/license.

An OEM CD cannot be used to perform an upgrade of an earlier OS,
as it was designed to be installed _only_ upon an empty hard drive.
It can still be used to perform a repair installation (a.k.a. an
in-place upgrade) of an existing WinXP installation.
