I have a laptop with CPU Pentium III, I upgraded with a clean install
of windows 2000 pro. when the computer restarted itself I noticed
that the colors and graphics look really bad, almost like a
watermark. The display settings show up to 16bit color and the screen
area is 640 x 480 pixels and 800 x 600 pixels. I upgraded the RAM to
512MB and the watermark look is still like that. What can I do to
solve this problem?

Sounds like you need to install the appropriate video driver for your
laptop. The laptop manufacturer's website might be able to supply it or
if you can find out which video chipset it uses, you can probably get
something from the chipset manufacturer.
