Upgraded from Offic 97 - 2003 -How to access old e-mail from Word

I upgraded from Office 97, which used Outlook Express for e-mail, to Office
2003 Professional and just Outlook for e-mail. While I am able to receive
new mail, I am not able to recover my old e-mail. Is there a way that I
might access my old e-mail?

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional, so your question is a little off-topic here.

Having said that, Office 97 did not use Outlook Express: like Office 2003,
it used Outlook. Outlook Express comes bundled with Internet Explorer, not
with Office. I can't see any reason why upgrading Office 97 should have
impacted Outlook Express. See whether you can find the old icon for Outlook
Express and try opening it.

Thank you!! I apologize for being "off topic" - but I just recently upgraded
to the 2003 program, and it led me to this forum. However, I greatly
appreciate your patience with me, and especially thank you for your help. I
figured thare must be a simple answer, and it certainly was. Now I can
access my old contacts. You are a blessing.
