How can I use data saved in old Access 97 ?

I upgraded from Windows 98 to Win XP and from Office 97 to Office 07. I am
unable to open data locked in Access 97. It is critical to my work. How do
I open and use it. Without that old data, my Office 07 is useless. My new
Office 07 did not include Access.

If you still have your office 97 CD, you can install Access from it and any
other Office 97 features you need). Just put it into a different folder
(Office97 will do). I've done this because the Help in Access 97 is loads
better than that of later versions.

You will probably find that you need to run the dll fix however because of
being on WinXP

Find Regsrv32.exe on your PC (use findfiles)

If by any chance you don't have it, its available on the MS Website

After Installing Acc97, find DAO350.dll.
Double click on it.
Choose Open With (but DONT tick the Always Open With box)
Browse to Regsrv32

You will also need to keep an eye on your references in your databases. Some
may be missing.
