I have an access 97 application that I need to keep using. Can I
upgrade to Office 07? What type of issues or problems can I encounter?

I just found out that I can install office 2007 as a custom install and
leave access 97 on my system. I really need my Access97 application to
continue to function properly... so is this a better option for me? if
so what are the issues I may encounter by having both access's installed
simultaneously?

Hi Advance Scout
It probably is a better option for you.
I have both A2003 and A2007 on the same computer using a custom install for
A2007.
The issue is that when I have used a database that opens with A2003 and
closed it, when I then open a database that opens with A2007, I have to wait
about 25 seconds while the windows installer runs to prepare A2007 to work
correctly and then the database opens.
The same thing happens in going from A2007 to A2003.

The othe issue is that you can easily by mistake open your A97 database in
A2007.
This may or may not cause a problem with the A97 database - I don't know the
reasons for this. Some databases can be sensitive to this and other
databases are not affected at all.
