Hi guys.
I uninstalled SP2 Home in order to upgrade to XP Pro from my CD.
Unfortunately, during the setup process I recevied unending "Files not
found".

I reformatted hy HDD to try a clean install, but I am getting the "Files not
found" so I hit Esc to move the process on and when the install is finished
and the PC reboots, I get the Fatal Error blus screen.

Does someone have any idea how to overcome this issue? I need my computer to
work!!!

Thanks for any insight.

Thx Jupiter. I am not sure how to go about that. The CD isn't scratched, but
it looks "chaffed". Might this be the problem?
Is there a way of making a backup copy that might be "clean" and I could use
to do a clean install?
Cheers.

Go to a computer store or any business that sells CDs.
Get the appropriate cleaning kit.

Do not use window cleaner or anything not specifically recommended for CDs
as the chemicals may damage the CD.
