Hi,

Currently have win2k ads domain with 2 domain controller. 1 dc has windows
2000 server with SP2 and other windows 2000 with SP3 also running as SUS
server for the network. Clients are Windows 2000 Pro all SP3 and Windows XP.

We currently plan to upgrade win2k pro client with sp4 and then upgrade the
domain to windows server 2003.

This is what i have planned out

1. Installed Windows Server 2003 std edition on new server
2. Join this server as additional domain controller to current window 2000
DC
3. Pass master domain controller operations to new win2k3 dc.
4. upgrade other windows 2000 server to windows server 2003.

are there any steps that i have missed or i need to consider before carrying
out the work.

With Regards,

Unless you have some fantastic reason for upgrading I wouldn't. I would demote
the old 2K DC and rebuild from scratch with the K3 CD then promote. I am not a
fan of upgrades. You always seem to run into some niggling issue.
