upgrade to xp

am running me with a sata hard drive and want to upgrade
to xp pro but disc won't load, understand its probably a
driver problem.
have sp2 on disc and an ide hard drive if these will help.
anyone any ideas?

Go to the manufacturers website of the SATA Drive and see if they have
special instructions for driver install with WinXP
You may need a floppy disk with the Sata drivers on it.
