You are confused. Win 2000 is an operating system, Office XP is an office
application that includes a suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint, Access). If you have an earlier version of Office installed,
such 97 or 2000, you can upgrade that to Office XP. You can't upgrade
Windows 2000 to Office XP.

Hi Ben,

If you are going from Office 2000 to Office XP, you can get an upgrade
version of that and you do not need to uninstall first.

If you are going from WINDOWS 2000 to WINDOWS XP, then you can get an
upgrade version of that as well. I am going to assume that it is windows you
are talking about.

Some questions to ask yourself:
1.) Do I want a nice fresh copy of windows, running at the best possible
speed my computer can run, or do I want to upgrade, and sacrifice performance
to avoid having to reinstall software
2.) Do I have a network at home or wherever I'm using this computer? If so,
you want XP Professional.
3.) Is it going to be more aggravation to upgrade this computer, or replace
it?

Regardless of what you decide, if you would like some help deciding, drop me
an email. We can help you out.
