Upgrade Time!!

Hey guys, I wasn't going to say anything until it was up and running but i cant resist telling ya.

Well i couldn't hold back any longer and I ordered the following parts this morning.....

Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe 4th down here

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ Last one here

OcUK GeForce 7900 GTO SILENT 512MB Right at the bottom here

Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 NCQ 200GB SATA II 3rd down here

The CPU and GFX are on sale this week only and the CPU wont be around much longer, as they have stopped making the 939 chips i hear.

The graphics card is a real bargain. Its basically a MSI 7900GTX with the memory underclocked a little and nearly 100 quid cheaper, so i'll just overclock it back to GTX speeds!

All other parts are gonna be reused from my old system, (RAM ect.)

Shold make a nice gameing machine.......and cruncher of course!!

Some boards need to be flashed with an updated BIOS mate mine did.
Check on the website to see if it needs doing.

Just an average one at the mo, DVI about 15ms response i think. Thats going to be my xmas prezzie to myself!

The mobo clocks like crazy, up from 2.4Ghz to around 3.4Ghz just by adjusting a few hidden options in the Bios

Cool, that CPU is gonna kick ass, but i personally wouldn't crunch for those wan*ers at F@H again.....

Thats one of the reasons i picked the Asus MB, I should be able to hit FX-60 speeds and with any luck a bit more, will be using my trusty Gigabyte 3D rocket Pro.
