Upgrade question Advanced Server

This will probably seem like an odd question but is it
possible to upgrade from Win2K server to Win2K Advanced
Server without reinstalling the whole operating system?

We have a server that was mistakenly installed with
regular server instead of advanced server, and in the
interest of saving time, we're wondering if it were
possible to just upgrade instead of reinstall from
scratch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Inplace upgrade. As long as it is not a dc then it should work fine. Backup
just in case.

Really? I've always read it can't be done, although I've never tried it
myself. If it can be done, that'll be good to know in the future.
