Win 2K Server to Win 2K Advance Server Upgrade

Hi,

We are looking at upgrading our environments from Windows 2000 Server to
Windows 2000 Advance server. I am told that we cannot upgrade to Windows 2K
Advance Server on existing Server (win 2K) and it needs to done from scratch
(meaning build the server with the new OS - hence losing all the
configuration/set up).

Is this right? Or is there a way I can upgrade the OS without losing my
current server.

I just had to go through this exact same exercise, I'm afraid it's a
complete rebuild.
