upgrade problem

Hello,
When upgrading WIndows 98SE to Windows 2000 Pro, I get the
following error : "Windows 2000 Setup cannot determine the
version of Windows you are currently running. Setup
cannot continue."

Tried reinstalling 98 over itself, same problem. Any
ideas?

Is this an OEM Win98?
If it is, it can't be upgraded. You need a clean install with
the full retail W2K Pro.

Save yourself a lot of time and hassle - backup data, have install disks
for apps and do a clean install of 2K.
