either version u buy will let u do an upgrade install with
is installing without lossing anything (it's always better
to do a clean install and lose everythin, though, u will
have less problems in the long run). i always buy the
full version. if something was to happen to your computer
and u lost everything and u needed to reinstall windows u
would have to use your restore disk first, then goto and
reinstall XP pro. the upgrade must see a previous version
of windows to continue with the install (98/me/2000/xp)
