Have a small annoying problem with windows explorer after
upgrading from Win98 to XP Pro.

After launching windows explorer, I can simply click (in
the left side window pane) on "Desktop", "My Network
Places", and "Recycle Bin" without issues; however, when I
click on "My Computer" to expand the tree, windows
explorer quits unexpectedly.

I tried also clicking on a sub-folder of "Desktop" (in the
right side window pane); for example, "My Pictures"
then "Sample Pictures" then the "My Computer" tree on the
left side window pane would expand for a moment and would
quit unexpectedly. Sometimes, it would hold and I could
click on other sub-folders under "My Computer". But then
when I click on "My Computer", windows explorer once again
would quit unexpectedly.

What Do I need to do to fix this issue???

Have heard a lot of issues when anyone does an "upgrade",
especially from Win98 to XP, simply because Win98 is a
FAT32 based OS, and XP is NTFS-based, don't work well
together. My best recommendation would be to backup
data, Format, and install XP fresh. My opinion that
would provide the most stability.

Good Luck...
