UPGRADE FROM 98SE TO XP

Have just upgraded and find nothing in my Docs folder - everything is
located under - 'Hard Disc Drives' - 'Windows 98(C'. Have I loaded XP
separately? Is this correct? Do I have to uninstall/install all my programs?
What have I done?
