upgrade from 98SE to XP?

I got win98se and I want to uprade to WinXP Pro, all of software is compatible but every time I click on Install Windows XP, the Windows Help pop up, tell me to run the winnt32, does anyone know about this ?? I'm really confuse, please help

are you booting from the CD?

Have you run the compatibility wizard that is on the CD?


Have you disconnected all hardware that is not needed during
the upgrade?

You can't be booting from the cd then because if you were,
setup would start.
