The Following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupted or missing

Value 0 on the line in section [sourceDisk Files] with key SP2.LAB

Setup cannot contine to Quit setup press F3

end of error message

Upgrading from Windows ME to Windows XP. System required floppy boot
program from microsoft to get to the software on the CD. Made disketts off
of two systems with same error at installation

What is .SIF file?
Where is it located, XP CD, XP Boot disketts, hard drive of system to be

How do I get this resolved?

A .sif file is a Windows NT Setup File.

Winnt.sif is the answer file that is used for performing an unattended clean
installation from a CD. There are other .sif files also.
System required floppy boot
program from microsoft to get to the software on the CD.

Could you explain that? Do you have a link?

I upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows XP and didn't need anything like that.
