My Pentium III is coming to the end of its useful service. I want to
upgrade to a faster CPU. This will involve a new motherboard with a new
BIOS. The hard disk capacity is meagre by today's standards.

How can I retain the XP operating system? If I upgrade the M/B & CPU with
the same HDD will the XP OSS recognise it as the same system? How long must
I wait before upgrading the HDD?

Thanks for the tech site. My Pentium was bought before the XP O/S was
around, so I have a upgrade CD. It would seem that the XP repair install
would be advisable.
