I have an EMachine. It tells me I need to update by
downloading some files. But before I download the files,
it says to backup my system. How do I back up my system?
Thanks,
Jeanne

There are dozens of methods for doing a backup, some more reliable and of
course more expensive than others. You might want to visit your local
computer store and ask what they recommend. If you have a decent Internet
connection, there are many websites to which you can backup your data. Just
do a search for desktop backup solution. If you have a zip drive or even a
cd burner, you already have what you need to do a basic backup. The main
point I will make is that the backup must be stored somewhere other than
your c: drive, or main physical hard drive, because if your hard drive
crashes, that backup will be useless. Also, click Start>>Help for more
info on using Windows Backup.
