Shop loaded XP SP-1 on my new computer. They set it to download, but
not install Updates. I count 27 updates waiting to be installed. All
are checked for installation.

Should I allow the computer to install all 27 at one time?

Uncheck all, and install them one at a time? If YES, how do I tell what
order to install them in? Do I reboot computer after each installation?

i would suggest installing about 7-10 at a time. reboot and install another
7-10 of them. and so on.

You can dowload the updates and let them all install and then reboot. They
won't usually take affect until the next reboot. Some downloads like SP1a
will have to be installed on it's own. A dialogue box will be displayed with
downloads that must be installed on their own. Keep smiling.
