updates

Hi,
I made a system recovery (non-destructive), and I found that I lost all the
critical and non-critical windows updates I have made before recovery (made
since 2001) including the PS1, I'm also planing to upgrade to PS2, the
cuestion is, do I have to start all over instaling all the updates till today
(including PS1) and them instal PS2...?

NO! SP2 contains all the fixes from SP1. So you shouldn't
need to 'start over'.

Hi

With a 'Repair' install all the Windows Updates have to be re-downloaded and
re-installed. SP2 is cumulative, so will include all the SP1 Updates.
There is no need to re-install all the SP1 Updates again, they will be
included with SP2. Without some of the SP1 Crtitical/Security Updates, you
will have to make sure that you have at least the XP Firewall and an AV
program running for the security of your system.
