strange mouse behaviour

I change my hdd and do a system recovery using the Dell Recovery cd. After
the installation, the mouse either the pad or using the ps2/usb mouse, all
their behaviour seems strange.

The mouse will move by itself and move to the corners and it seems have to
wait them up before it appears at the location you want. I reformatted and do
a clean installation and its behaviour still remains the same.
And when I install the skype, it gives me a blue screen. Note, that the only
progam installed after the clean installation is windows updating.Any ideas
what went wrong fromhere onwards

Did you install the drivers for your laptop?

Yes, run the dell drivers and utility cd as well as do an update from Dell,
apart from doing windows update. Things got from bad to worse. After
installing skype, I get blue screen along the way. This is a new installation
with no ther 3rd party software involved except skype. any ideas thanks

You replaced the hard drive, installed from the Dell Recovery CD, installed
the drivers from the Dell disk, got the latest Windows updates, and the touch
pad and a ps2 and USB mice don't function properly. Run the Dell diagnostics
from the utility CD and see if the machine passes. It sounds like you are
still having hardware problems.
