mainstream
support ends 4/14/2009 and extended support ends 4/8/2014. All XP x86
editions have the same lifecycle dates.
XP x64 is covered by the Lifecycle support policy that says mainstream
support ends two years after the general public availability of the next
equivalent version of Windows (in this case Vista x64) and extended
support
five years after the end of mainstream support. The public availablility
date governs and not the date released to manufacturing.
