Updates

I'm on vista and it would appear that i have quite a few updates that for
some reason will not install. Am I doing something wrong or is simply that
these updates are not required on my computer?

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the
computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista :
