updates

Tried today to install latest updates. Tried one at a time, all together,
Administration - services, stop automatic updates all as in Help, etc, etc,
all to no avail. I just cannot get KB938979 to install - please help. My pc
keeps telling me updates are available and driving me nuts.

What is the exact error messªge?

Any clues in the System events log you can see?

What error do you see in "%Windir%\WindowsUpdate.log". Please post your
windowsupdate.log file here. (last 30 lines would be enough).

I'm sure you'll get more detailed help from the guys who know a lot more
than me, but I hope this is enough to get you on the right road for now.
