Updates

Windows updates for Defender are not installing. Windows Updates keeps
indicating that Update was successful, but Update is not Installed. Other
Windows Updates download and install successfully, but NOT updates to
Defender.
HELP!

Hi Poetman,

Have you had this problem before with the yellow icon? If so, it is the same
problem going on, except now, newer updates don't show the icon. The update
says it was successful, but go back into Microsoft updates, you will see it
is still there. The same action is needed:

1- Go to startmenu-> RUN
2- Type or copy/paste:

Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}

3- Click OK and to uninstall previous update, Yes.

4- Go back to Windows Updates and Install again.

Try looking up Solution How To Update Windows Defender I pasted what he said
into run clicked yes to uninstall and then clicked updates on WD and it
worked for me.

Finally the ugly icon is gone... and i'm up to date.
