updates

I downloaded updates from the web for windows XP. When I
goto add/remove programs, they are all listed as
programs, can these be removed or are they supose to be
there?

They are suppose to be there. They are a history of the updates installed and
are also used in the event you wish to delete one of the updates. Do not
remove them.

You're very welcome. By the way, those update records take up very little
space on the HD.

Ralph;
If you uninstall the updates, you also remove the fix so they should
be left installed.
However the uninstall files can be safely deleted:
