Updates

I have the new build 613. EVERY time I check for updates
MS anti-spyware updates definitions from 5725 to 5727. As
soon as it updates I check again and it updates the same
definitions again! This happens if I check as soon as I
update. It updates EVERY TIME! This program needs a LOT
of work! A Lot!

I actually installed this program on a two different
machines and BOTH have this updates problem.
Looks like it is not updating the current version somewhere
which causes it to do a useless "update" to version 5727
again.

You update to Version 1.0.613 no the definitions, wait for
the new definitions

I would recommend uninstalling 613, and deleting the installation folder and
all subfolders. You will lose settings and quarantined items.

Then download and install the current build, 614. See whether you are then
able to update from the included defs, which I believe are 5725, to 5729.
Try at least twice to see if it really manages the job. If it does not, use
the advice below:

This is a well known problem. The easiest fix is to
download the updated definitions manually and place them in
your MSAS folder. Do not use the program to update, that
is broken. Instead get them at:

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcDeterminationData.gcd
http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd
http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd

Save these files in your MSAS directory overwriting the
older definitions.
