Updates integration in installation disk

I'm trying to make an updated windows 2000 insatllation disk, with sp4 and
all susequents. So I downloaded the needed files and integrated them into an
installation folder, then burned it to a bootable cd. The disk boots fine,
and i tried it twice; once with only sp4 then with some additional updates
and both worked fine. But after few days i tried it with a fresh start, new
copy of w2k cd then integrate sp4 then the additions. What happened is that
the disk booted fine and while the setup is loading, every thing stops and
the blue screen tells me that "cannot find mountmgr.sys" and the
insatallation aborts. What keeps me wondering is that i done before, what
happened???!!!, what changed???

also i was triying to find a way to integrate ie6sp1, all these integrations
would save me allot of time and bandwidth as all sure know.

and some device drivers too.

all in all, the main issue is the update integration failure, and whey the
insatllation stops in that way, all the files are there!

If your slipstream disk was running, it can be a read failure from the disk.

I'm using rewritable media, because this is still experimental to me, so i
still didn't put it on a permanent media. If you mean that the disk itself
whether recordable or rewritable is damaged, i did burn the image on
different disks. You even might think it's a joke but i tried it over twenty
times, maybe more i'm not sure.

also I know that in dos and non gui modes, the system cannont read files
with names in lower case so i renamed the file in upper case, and the problem
persisted on another file, i don't remember it's name.

i tried to apply the updates in different order but, the same results is
what i can get.

Not necessary to rename all to upper case. That's not the reason. And if
the file is on the disk, again it could be a read failure. Try to copy your
slipstreamed installation part to a network folder and install from theire.

I need to clarify the problem, it seems you think i'm talking about the
total installation disk. What happens is that i slipstream the SP and the
updates in the installation folder then create an iso image, the iso images
of my successful trials are still there, they were made the same way with the
same software. When the problem first appeared, i burned the most updated
working one back to check that the disk and the disk drive are working fine.
And it worked, and installed the system without a single failure message,
from the same rewritable disk after blanking and reburning it with the
working iso file.

So what i'm really asking is whey is the working iso working, while all the
others not, i mean twenty shots or more in the same direction would hit the
right target even once, but that didn't happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
