Update trying to update program not installed

VM is not installed in XP, so how do I tell it not to
update it. Every day my auto update says I have a new
update for you to install.

Hi try this go to the windows update page do the scan for
updates you will get a window with all the updates on and
the chance to add or deleat to download use remove from
downloads
