Update to 2000 Pro

I have just upgraded to Win 2000, created password, now
the program will not open. Load settings, then loops back
to password interface. I upgraded from Win ME to 2000.
Also loaded another Win 2000, on same system so I can get
on line. All the programs will not work on second install.
How do I get all the preveious programs to work??? Norton
System Works, Microsoft Office, and multiple games. All
original info is still on our C drive.

upgraded from Win ME to 2000.


This is not a supported upgrade. Win 2000 came out before Win ME. This is a
down grade. MS suggest you format and reinstall.

You *can* reinstall all your programs into the same folder they are now
installed in. When you boot to the second install of Win 2k you have access
to them from the second install without taking up more disk space. You will
still have the first Win 2k/ME install taking up disk space though.
