[UPDATE] RoughDraft v3.0

Little Girl

Hey all,

For those of you who are writers, RoughDraft was updated on April 04,
2005. As if this program wasn't incredible enough, the author added so
many features, bug fixes and changes that I'd probably get yelled at
if I pasted in the list. So for any of you who missed it earlier this
month, you won't want to miss this. If you're currently using v2.0,
you're going to LOVE what he's done with it!

<quotes from the page>
RoughDraft is a freeware word processor for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT,
2000 and XP. Although suitable for general use, it has features
specifically designed for creative writing: novels, short stories,
articles, plays and screenplays. It's designed to be as practical as
possible, offering all the features you need, but without being
complicated or awkward to use.

You don't have to be a writer, Ive thought this was one of the best
wordprocesser type programs around for some time, however I seem to be in
the minority. Version 3 is a big jump over 2 and even better than before,
thks for mentioning it.

Isn't it WONDERFUL? I could rave on and on about this program. Now if
I'd just use it EVERY day I could become a rich, successfull
writer....... :)

Hey there,

Is it compatible with *.doc?

Quoted from the File/Open window:

Rich Text Format (*.rtf)
HTML Document (*.html,*.htm,*.htx,*.otm)
Microsoft Excel Worksheet
Windows Write (*.wri)
Word 6.0/95 for Windows&Macintosh (*..doc)
Word 6.0/95 for Windows & Macintosh (*..doc)
Word 97 (*.doc)
Word (Asian Versions) 6.0/95 (*.doc)
Works 3.0 for Windows
Works 4.0 for Windows
Recover Text from Any File
WordPerfect 6.x (*.doc)
WordPerfect 5.x (*.doc)
Plain Text (*.txt)

It can only save as Rich Text Format or Plain Text, but can easily be
converted by any other program that can open files in either of those
formats and then convert them to whichever format you want. I love the
program for what it can do, and how it does it. :)
