As I am planning on working on a new version of Freeware Finder, this one
will not be getting updated (except bug fixes). Work shall begin on the new
version in around July/August after design and features have been finalized,
and shall hopefully be completed around October.

You are absolutely right Steven. Linux is more fun than being on the
internet. (?) :)

I actually enjoy using Linux in congruence with the internet. It's an
interesting concept but it seems to work better than using the internet
in Windows ;)

Gotta watch out and not hurt the feelings of Windows users. They bruise
like a banana. :)

Yesterday I started making a JavaScript-based freeware finder that can
be used online or from any computer with a JavaScript and frame
supported browser. It should work in all of the major operating systems
including Windows, Linux, and Mac. I have tested it in Mozilla 1.7b and
Internet Explorer 5.5.

There are a few bugs in the script still. I need to stop using a new
window to get the framed results and I need to fix the formatting of the
query (spaces should be changed to plus signs, etc). I need to
eventually change the freeware websites to better suite everyone's
needs. Also, Freeware World Team breaks out of the frames and ruins the
results when framed so I will need to do something about this.

If anyone wants to make their own version of the script or modify it
please feel free to. You may change the suffix from "A" to a string
that identifies you in your own modified version if you like (so that
the versions can be kept straight). The script will most likely be
officially licensed under the GPL once I get around to it.

It doesn't seem to do anything when "Frames" mode is checked?

At the moment it should open a window up in the background with a framed
search. I haven't figured out why it opens in the background. If this
isn't the case, then what is your browser/version/OS?

SOS has just reminded me that I'd forgotten to include his site in FF, which
means I've probably forgotten others aswell. Thus, if you know of a site
that I have not included, please let me know (make sure you include the
search string for that site aswell).

Note: NON freeware site's will NOT be included (I'm also going to phase out
those that list software other than freeware (i.e. spyware, trialware etc).
