Update Rollup KB826939

Has anyone installed this upodate on their computer?
I want to install it, but am afraid of all past problems.
How safe is it to install this update and has anyone had any negative
effects or problems after the install of the rollup update. Thanks.

Desktop shortcuts to the C Drive, Floppy, DVD & CDRW. It couldn't find them.

I have seen none. There have been one or two rather vague posts
suggesting that people are having slow down troubles, but it is not
clear if this arises from the original version of 811493 - which ought
to be replaced by a later fix in this roll-up

But be aware that it is an 'Express' install in the way SP1 express was.
It is a comparatively small initial program which will then analyse your
system to see what further updates are needed - and may then download a
lot more (in my case about 35MB). So think hard if you are on dialup.
