Update Problems

I previously had the 0x8050800c error for a basic disk setup and checked the
chkdsk without any problems. Now when I try to download an update, I get
0x8024096 "The device does not recognise the command" and the update cannot
be installed.

My version is 1.1.1051.0, Eng Ver 1.1.1186.0, Sig Ver 1.14.1325.6 built on
16/03/2006.

You are, in fact, up to date. I'd ignore the error message unless you are
unable to update next time definitions are released--probably next Thursday
or so.
