Update not working

Recently i have been unable to update my microsoft spyware
application, it works fine scanning and everything except
when i go to update it online. then it simply freezes and
will not continue.

any help would be appreciated
 
Ensure that Microsoft AntiSpyware is not working in off line mode. Open
Internet Explorer, click File and ensure that Work Off line is not checked.
