nLite v0.99.3 Beta

Overview :

nLite is a little bit of a slipstreamer, customizer, reducer and iso
creator all in one package. Works for every version of Windows XP
installation, so far tested up to slipsteamed SP2 build 2135. To avoid
confusion, this is for pre-installation, not like XPlite which is post
installation customizer. This is something like 98lite or jdeboeck's
scripts. It's written in C# (.NET) so you will need Framework to run
it.

What's New:

# driver integration moved after removal
# translation template updated
# license mode option (win2k3)
# Keep Media Player compatibility option
# Black setup background option
# fixed: windows 2003 support
# translations: Deutsch,French,Italian,Japanese,Korean,Nederlands,
Norwegian,Portuguese,Romanian,Russian,Simplified Chinese,
Spanish,Vietnamese and Polish.
# components: DNS Client
# DHCP Client
# System Monitor
# TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
# fixed: 16bit Support
# fixed: Sound Controllers (USB audio)
# fixed: Performance Logs and Alerts

Cousin Arjan ....

I've seen a few references to this program before
and have wondered about the definition of the term
slipstream in the context of computing as I only
know it from another context ....

$ dict slipstream
....

slipstream
n : the flow of air that is driven backwards
by an aircraft propeller

[syn: {airstream}, {race}, {backwash}, {wash}]

I've also seen a few references to *Slipstreamed Win_XP*
in other groups and on Google, but don't know what it means ....

Any clues ?

Cousin Antoine ....

That was a BIG help ....

Slipstream ....

(v.) To add enhancements to or fix bugs in software
without creating a new version number
to identify the changes.

(adj.) Refers to a fix or enhancement that was made to software
without creating a new version number to identify the changes.

The term is used, for example, to refer to a slipstream repair
or a slipstream fix.

(n.) The software fix or enhancement itself,
as in the slipstream introduced an important new feature.

Thanks for reminding me of the Webopedia.Com link ....
