Up on the ftp site now. Official release time is a few hours away.
Thanks Gordon. FF alerted me that it had downloaded the update and I
restarted FF. No problems with any of the extensions I run. Safe bet
that others had problems though.

we already found out, that this file is from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8.0.4/
As you can read in this url, this is a so called nightly,
a recent developer build and not a release. Nightlies are
not for everyday use, their purpose is testing only.

That's why there is a special location for "releases":
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
Take a look, no 1.5.0.4 there. Yet.
